# ChronoPoland

> An interactive atlas of Polish history that places outstanding historical figures on a map of Poland at their birthplace, with filtering by time period and field.

ChronoPoland places one hundred outstanding historical figures, from medieval rulers to modern Nobel laureates, on a map of Poland at their birthplace. The site offers filtering by time period and field, a timeline of historical eras, guided paths, and an architecture built to overlay Poland's changing historical borders. The interface is available in Polish and English. Data is drawn from Wikidata (CC0), Wikipedia (CC BY-SA) and Wikimedia Commons, and each record links to its own sources with a stated confidence level.
